Since being established in 1931, the Vitavox name has been synonomous with custom manufacturing. Over the years, bespoke horn systems and drivers have been installed in some extraordinarily diverse environments; from the QE2's on-board cinema to Rolls Royce's jet turbine test labs.
Whilst we have, of course, forged close links with specialist suppliers and contractors, it is our own comprehensively equipped cabinet making, engineering and fabrication workshops that mean we are uniquely positioned to respond to our customers' needs.

Cabinet making.
The growth in the high-end loudspeaker market over the past two decades has gone hand-in-hand with an increasing demand for cabinetry of the highest imaginable quality; consummately constructed, intricately detailed and exquisitely finished.
Our workshops have risen to the challenge, producing some of the world's most iconic commercial products, renowned for their extraordinary acoustic performance, superlative build quality and flawless finish - combining the traditional arts of quintessentially English cabinet making with ingenious and meticulous engineering.
Engineering.
Digital design tools are, of course, of huge benefit in loudspeaker design, but new product development in this field is still very dependent upon iterative prototyping and testing. Our in-house engineering and fabrication workshops allow for rapid proof of concept, and, once the design is finalised, batch production.
Pattern Making and Casting.
Additive manufacturing has made huge strides over recent years but the ancient art of casting still has much to offer; the gateway to a world of complex forms and illustrious materials that no other technology can match so cost effectively.
Our expertise in pattern making and knowledge of the foundryman's craft opens up a host of additional creative options suited to both one-off and quantity production.
Finishing.
We have an extensive sprayshop equipped for both wood and metal finishing.
Cabinets are commonly finished in new formulation Acrylic PU lacquers, whilst for metals, alongside modern two pack epoxy finishes, we still retain the facility for the application of the high durability stoved enamel finishes that have been used on Vitavox products for more than three quarters of a century.

Beyond our current catalogue, our archive is filled with classic horn systems. All of these remain available to special order.
Even today, and by any measure, cabinet systems such as Bitone Major, Thunderbolt, and Bass Bin, are world class performers.
